Buell Motorcycle has announced that it will be unveiling a new touring model prototype at the upcoming Daytona Bike Week 2022 on 5 March, 2022. The company added that this new model, which will be called the Buell SuperTouring 1190 in production guise, will be the world’s fastest production touring bike.
Speaking about the motorcycle, Bill Melvin, CEO of Buell Motorcycle, said that the company has taken the Buell DNA and applied it to the performance touring segment, developing a topline touring bike that will lead the American market in speed, handling, and performance. The motorcycle will be powered by the Buell 1,190cc V-twin engine that will produce 182.5bhp of power and 137Nm of peak torque.
The SuperTouring 1190 will pack upright riding position, variable mounting points for hard or soft bags, and room for rider customisation with aftermarket touring accessories. The teaser image of the motorcycle reveals a twin-pod headlight setup, a tall windscreen, and a muscular design.
The reservations for production slots for the SuperTouring 1190 model will go live on 5 March. The motorcycle will be available with suggested retail price of USD 21,995 (Rs 16.65 lakh). This motorcycle is expected to reach production in the Fall of 2022 (September-November).
