Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, BattRe, has announced the launch of its new product, the gps:ie electric scooter in the Indian market. The new product has been launched at Rs 64,990 (ex-showroom). The first-year subscription is included in the price. Buyers would have to pay Rs 1,200 towards annual subscription from second year onwards.
BattRE has partnered with Aeris Communications for this connected scooter. The vehicle uses a SIM card and it can be accessed through a smartphone app. The gps:ie is said to incorporate a host of smart features on its telematics platform.
The feature list on the gps:ie include GPS tracking, remote immobilisation, driver behaviour reports, trip reports, secure park, geofence and device management. The electric scooter also sends alerts for the status, towing, crash and speeding.
The scooter uses a 48V 24Ah Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery that is claimed to deliver a range of 65km. The charging time is rated at 2.5 hours. The hardware on the gps:ie also comprises of disc brakes on both wheels, telescopic forks and adjustable rear springs.
BattRE gps:ie scooters will be offered through 50+ dealer locations across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat and UP. The electric scooter will also be available on Amazon.
