- Exhaust note teaser video posted on social media handles
- Sounds similar to a single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor
- Could be a completely new Pulsar model as well
Bajaj Auto has teased another bike on its social media platform. The Chakan-based brand has posted an exhaust note video hinting it to be a Pulsar model. From the sound, Bajaj is bringing a single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor.
Further teasers have also revealed that the upcoming Pulsar model will likely be an RS trim. For reference, Bajaj currently sells only one model with the said prefix, the RS200. With the launch of the NS400Z in May 2024, it makes sense for Bajaj to add an RS400 as well to its portfolio.
If launched, RS400 will have a ready platform regarding the engine, features, and hardware. It will borrow the NS400Z’s 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 39.4bhp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,5000rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it could get LED illumination, switchable traction control, and four ride modes- Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road.
The RS’s hardware is likely to include USD forks at the front and a gas-charged, preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking duties will be done by a front and rear disc brake mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. It will also benefit from dual-channel ABS.
However, we are yet to see what Bajaj has in store and if it does turn out to be an RS400 or something else. With the teasers being released already, we expect an official announcement from the Pulsar maker in the next few weeks.
