- Spotted testing near Pune
- Could be a new premium 125cc bike
- Seems to get new bodywork as well
We have come across new spy shots of what appears to be an upcoming Bajaj motorcycle. However, it is quite unclear at the moment whether it is a new 125cc, a 150 or an even bigger offering. But, here is what we think.
Currently, Bajaj has only two 125cc bikes in its portfolio. One is the Pulsar 125 and the other is the Pulsar NS125. The former has been around for a long time and its overall design too has been the same for years. Meanwhile, the NS125 also serves in the same segment but it still sits above the rivals like TVS Raider and Hero Xtreme 125R. So, Bajaj may be working on a new premium 125cc motorcycle to take on the said rivals. It can borrow the powertrain from the NS, and the features as well.
The other possibility is that this could be a new 150cc motorcycle, think of an F150. The current Bajaj lineup has the Pulsar F250 and the Pulsar N250. However, in its 150cc portfolio, the brand only has the Pulsar 150, and the Pulsar N150. The test bike seen in these spy shots seems to have a faired front end, which would make sense for a probable Pulsar F150.
The test mule appears to get a raider tubular handlebar, tank extensions, an underbelly exhaust, a conventional tail with a tyre hugger, a front disc and rear drum brake setup, and road-oriented tyres.
However, a lot more information will unfold in the coming weeks/months as we get our hands on new spy shots. So, stay tuned to BikeWale for further updates.
