- TRK 702 X gets off-road focussed hardware
- Indian launch details unavailable yet
Benelli has revealed the TRK 702 series for the international markets. This series, similar to the TRK 502 range, comprises two models – TRK 702 and TRK 702 X. The standard model packs a road-biased setup in the form of 17-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli-sourced Angel GT tyres. The X variant, on the other hand, gets a relatively rugged setup that includes 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels that are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres.
Styling elements on both variants include a twin-pod headlight, semi-fairing with beak-style front, windscreen, knuckle guards, 20-litre fuel tank, step-up seat, and a tall-set exhaust canister. The standard model will be offered in three colours – Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, and Pearl White colour options. However, the X variant will be sold in four paint options – Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, Dune Sea, and Moon Grey.
The feature list across the range includes full-LED lighting, Bluetooth-enabled five-inch colour TFT display, handlebar controls for music and calls, and an onboard camera integrated into the front beak of the bike to record videos and take photos.
The mechanical specifications on both models include a 698cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 76.2bhp at 8,750rpm and 68.2Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox that is assisted by a wet clutch with torque converter. Other hardware on both motorcycles comprises 50mm upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, twin 320mm discs at the front, and a single 260mm rotor at the back.
The new Benelli TRK 702 and TRK 702 X will be available in the international markets in the first half of 2023. The Indian launch details, however, have not been announced yet.
