- Was spotted during testing on a track
- Gets the Panigale V4’s headlamp, air-intake and tail section
- Will be powered by the same 1104cc V4 mill
Following the confirmation given by Ducati's CEO Claudio Domenicali, on the development of the Streetfighter based on the Panigale V4, a test mule of the upcoming naked was spied for the very first time.
The motorcycle seems to be currently in development stage considering it was being tested on a circuit. While the spy images do not reveal proper details of the motorcycle due to the poor quality of images, it does, however, provide a fair idea of what to expect from the upcoming motorcycle. Sticking to the naked theme, Ducati has used the same headlamp and air-intake system from the Panigale V4 but as a standalone unit. Moving to the rear, the tail section has also been directly lifted from the Panigale. However, Ducati has smartly put all the components together while adhering to the original character of the Streetfighter.
In case of the motor, the test mule had the same 1103cc V4 motor from the Panigale V4. Expect the Streetfighter V4 to get a slightly different tune with the major chunk of the power band in the middle of the rev range. Besides that, the motorcycle will come with all the electronic wizardry offered on the faired bike.
Now, we all know that Ducati is preparing two naked versions of the V4R for the 2019 Pikes Peak. We expect the company to make an official announcement of the upcoming Streetfighter V4 at the event followed by unveiling of the bike at the 2019 EICMA.
