- Features bodywork similar to the Xoom 110
- Is equipped with a larger rear wheel
- Likely to be powered by a 125cc motor
Another Hero test mule has been spotted near the brand’s Jaipur-based R & D centre. These spy shots reveal its side and front profiles to some extent, and here’s what we think it could be.
The test scooter seen here gets a sharp-looking front end and butch bodywork on the side. From the little that’s visible, it seems that the test mule gets creases on the side panel that are similar to the one we see on the Hero Xoom. Even the front apron area resembles the Xoom’s design and it is seen to be equipped with a couple of cubby holders. That said, its rear wheel seems notably larger and it’s topped by a small fender.
Hero is also working on a larger Xoom and we think this could be the same. It’s likely to be a 125cc model and, goes without saying, could feature a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Meanwhile, the hardware on this test scooter comprises telescopic front forks and a monoshock. However, the braking setup is unclear as we can only see a front disc. Hero could also equip its upcoming 125cc offering with a fully digital console with smartphone connectivity.
The scooter seems to be in its early stages of testing and could take a little while before Hero makes an official announcement. But will it get the Xoom badging? Well, only time will tell.
