Honda has made its Indonesian portfolio a little more exciting by adding the new CB150X to its line-up. While it looks like an ADV, it's essentially a road-biased touring motorcycle, like the CB200X available in India. If you're curious to know what all the CB150X has up its sleeves, keep reading.
Design
The styling of the CB150X is clearly inspired by Honda's bigger ADVs like the CB500X. It boasts a tall stance with a muscular and busy-looking front end, a sculpted fuel tank and a sharp tail. The tall windscreen, front beak, and a sump guard speak of its inclination towards adventure riding.
Features
The feature list is nothing extraordinary with basic stuff like a full-LED lighting system and an LCD dash that shows the average and real-time fuel efficiency, besides the basic data. Surprisingly, there's no ABS, not even a single-channel setup.
Engine
Propelling the CB150X is a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine that is capable of producing 16.5bhp of power and 13.8Nm of peak torque. The transmission system comprises a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
Based on a diamond type chassis, the CB150X is suspended by 37mm Showa upside-down forks and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends. The fuel capacity of the motorcycle is 12-litres which is the same as the CB200X.
Pricing and launch
The Honda CB150X is pegged starting from RP 32 million (approximately Rs 1.67 lakh) for the base variant in Indonesia. While it might be launched in a few other markets too soon, its India entry seems unlikely in the near future.
