New Honda motorcycle to be unveiled tomorrow

- New Honda motorcycle to compete in the 150-180cc segment

- To be unveiled on 2 August, 2023

- Launch likely in late August 2023

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will update its portfolio with the launch of a new product tomorrow, 2 August, 2023. Notably, the company has not released any details about this motorcycle. However, sources close to the development have confirmed that this new product will compete in the 150-180cc motorcycle segment of the Indian market.

As reported earlier, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India already have two engines in the aforementioned displacement class – 162.7cc and 184.4cc. We expect the upcoming product to use one of these existing motors.

The output figures, too, are likely to remain similar to that of the company's existing products. The 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, for reference, makes 12.73bhp and 14Nm on the Honda Unicorn 160. Meanwhile, the 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor on the Hornet 2.0 delivers 17.03bhp and 16.1Nm of peak torque.

We expect the prices to start from the Rs. 1.05-1.15 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
