- New Trail 125 unveiled
- Gets a revised 125cc engine
- Trail 125 looks perfect for the Indian market
Honda has taken the wraps off its 2023 Trail 125 – a rugged-looking two-wheeler that makes sense for a country like India, but Honda won't bring it here.
Honda won't launch the Trail 125 in India because of its appearance. The overall styling is such that it won't fit in a market like India, which needs pleasing aesthetics. While the Trail 125's rugged and practical design elements make so much sense for the Indian market, its lack of aspirational values may not click here.
For 2023, the Trail 125 will get revised styling, but the most crucial bit is the engine. It is now equipped with a long-stroke 125cc engine air-cooled engine that churns out better low and mid-range performance. The bore and stroke are different, and so is the compression ratio. The bike also has an updated fuel injector for more efficient fueling.
The no-nonsense and utilitarian design of the Trail 125 looks perfect for India. Plus, that large tail rack can become one of the most used features of the bike in rural markets. It can also become the go-to bike for last-mile delivery agents. Currently, this 2023 Trail will be sold in the US at an extremely attractive price tag. The bookings have already commenced, and the deliveries are expected to start soon.
