Indian Motorcycle has unveiled a new iteration of its Scout series. This new variant, christened as the Scout Rogue, packs several styling upgrades over the standard Indian Scout. Here we list the top details of the new Indian Scout Rogue.
Styling Changes
The new Scout Rogue gets a few styling tweaks over the standard model. These include the addition of a new quarter fairing, mini ape-hanger handlebars, a sport style seat, blacked-out fenders and valve covers, and a 19-inch front wheel. As part of the optional accessories, Indian Motorcycle is offering a rider comfort seat, a syndicate two-up seat, and a syndicate low profile passenger backrest for their Scout Rogue. The owners of the standard Scout and Scout Bobber can also purchase the quarter fairing and a sport style solo seat for their motorcycles.
Colours
The colour palette for the Scout Rogue includes three options – Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight, and Stealth Gray. The Black Smoke Midnight and Sagebrush Smoke feature a matte finish while the Stealth Gray gets gloss paint.
Engine
The mechanical specifications include a 1,133cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled motor that is claimed to deliver 94bhp of maximum power and 96.2Nm of peak torque. The company will offer the Scout Rogue in A2 compliant specification in European markets.
Features
The standard feature list on the Indian Scout Rogue includes a halogen headlight and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Buyers can further upgrade the instrument cluster with the addition of an auxiliary tachometer with shift light. This accessory, which is mounted next to the standard instrument cluster, keeps the rider aware of the engine’s revolutions per minute (RPM). Furthermore, the LED shift light illuminates to indicate recommended shift points.
Hardware
The standard hardware on the Indian Scout Rogue includes telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks to handle the suspension tasks. Buyers can purchase adjustable piggyback rear shocks that can be adjusted via twist knobs to dial-in the compression and rebound damping settings. The optional units also feature increased suspension travel that is claimed to improve the ride quality. The braking setup includes single discs on both wheels.
