- Likely to get around 100km range
- Spotted during an endurance test
- Features digital dash and compact styling
We recently spotted a couple of upcoming Kinetic electric scooters on a test run around Pune. The EVs were seen on an endurance run and appeared closer to the production stage. Here is what we know about one of these upcoming Kinetic EVs.
While the name and other details are yet to be revealed, this Kinetic electric scooter is likely to have a range of about 100km. We also expect it to get multiple ride modes for further convenience of range and performance. Then, its feature list will include LED illumination as well as a fully digital screen (probably LCD). The readouts on it could include a speedometer, odometer, battery percentage or range, and other telltale details.
The design seems quite compact and Kinetic could target this electric scooter for local commutes in the city where an ideal buyer would use it to run errands and other similar tasks. It gets a flat floorboard with decent legroom to accommodate a backpack, flat seat with adequate space for two average-sized adults, and a single-piece grab-rail. The design too seems to be a blend of sporty with utilitarian.
As seen here, the hardware for the upcoming Kinetic EV comprises telescopic front forks with dual rear shocks and a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
Currently, Kinetic Green’s portfolio comprises Zoom, Flex, and Zing. Of the three, only the Flex has a top speed higher than 25kmph. This means it also needs proper registration and a license to ride. The new Kinetic EV, too, is expected to be a similar, high-speed e-scooter and will need a license for riding along with a thorough registration.
