- New KTM RC200 spotted
- Launch expected soon
- Gets halogen headlamp and LED taillight
The launch of the KTM RC series seems to be around the corner, as the Austrian automaker has been spotted testing multiple models recently. A few days back, the upcoming KTM RC390 was spotted testing, and now a video of another RC model has surfaced online. This spied motorcycle is reported to be the upcoming RC 200.
Although the motorcycle was disguised in black stripes (with a White and Red base colour), it has still managed to reveal some details. The motorcycle gets fairing-mounted mirrors, halogen headlamp, air vent on its fairing, LED indicators integrated into the headlamp cowl, single strip LED taillight, split-type seat, split rear grab handles and a tyre hugger.
It further features an orange-coloured rear alloy wheel and disc brakes on both ends. Talking about ergonomics, the rider still has to lean forward due to raised clip-on handlebars and slightly rear-set footpegs. We expect the motorcycle to retain the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 25bhp and 19Nm. This engine will come mated to a six-speed transmission.
While we await the launch details of the bike, we expect it to be slightly more expensive than the existing model considering the updates it gets. The KTM RC 200 is currently priced at Rs 2.08 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). For more updates, stay tuned to BikeWale.
