Moto Guzzi recently updated its V7 for 2021. While there is no announcement from Piaggio whether the motorcycle will be launched in India, we tell you all there is to know about the new Moto Guzzi V7.
New styling
The 2021 Moto Guzzi V7 sports the same silhouette as the previous generation and the same retro-inspired essence in its design. However, the new V7 gets a few tweaks that give it a fresh appeal. It gets a new seat, redesigned LED headlamp and tail lamp along with stylish new side panels. The new Moto Guzzi V7 also sports a shorter rear fender and beefier exhaust canisters.
Two variants
Unlike its previous versions which had Roman numerals, the 2021 model is just called the V7. And while the 2020 line-up consisted of four-models, the new V7 is available only in two variants- V7 Stone and V7 Special. Now, the Moto Guzzi V7 Special gets a navy blue paint with silver pinstripes, a brown seat, and wire-spoke wheels. On the other hand, the V7 Stone is available in a choice of three paint colours: Nero Ruvido, Azzurro Ghiaccio, and Arancione Rame.
New features
Moreover, Moto Guzzi has also updated the 2021 V7 with an all-new instrument cluster, Kayaba shocks at the rear and a larger rear wheel with a wider 150/70 tyre.
Bigger engine
However, the biggest update to the new Moto Guzzi V7 is a new engine. The 744cc, 90-degree, V-twin motor which did duty for almost a decade on the previous V7s has been retired by a new, 850cc mill. The new motor puts out 52bhp and 59.9Nm as compared to the 65bhp of power and 72.9Nm of torque on the older mill.
