TVS Motor Company-owned Norton Motorcycles has launched the re-engineered V4SV superbike in the British market. The latest iteration of the V4SV, which will be designed and built in the UK, has been piced at GBP 44,000 (Rs 41.47 lakh). Here we bring you the top details about the new Norton V4SV superbike.
Norton V4SV Styling
The styling remains similar to its predecessor and the new Norton V4SV continues to pack design elements such as a twin-pod headlight, full-fairing, tinted windscreen, muscular fuel tank, rider-only saddle, single-sided swingarm, and a side-slung exhaust. The saddle cover features a diamond-shaped stitch pattern. Other elements include full carbon-fibre bodywork, a 15-litre under-seat carbon-fibre fuel tank with Kevlar reinforcement, and billet footrests and pedals.
Norton V4SV Colours
The re-engineered V4SV is available in two colour options – Carbon and Manx Silver. The Manx Silver paint theme features silver bodywork with red and carbon pinstripes, a black front number board, and red OZ Racing forged aluminium wheels. The Carbon option, on the other hand, features an exposed carbon fibre bodywork finish and carbon fibre BST wheels for reduced weight. Styling features standard on both colour options include carbon fibre fuel tank and bodywork, a TIG-welded aluminium tube frame handcrafted and polished to a mirror finish, and the Union Jack on the tail of the motorcycle.
Norton V4SV Engine and Performance
This performance motorcycle is powered by a 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, 72-degree V4 engine that is tuned to deliver 185bhp at 12,500rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. Performance figures such as the top-speed and 0-100kmph acceleration are yet to be revealed by the British brand. The gearbox benefits from a bidirectional quickshifter and an auto blipper system.
Norton V4SV Features
The premium feature list on the re-engineered V4SV includes full-LED lighting, a six-inch colour TFT display with auto brightness adjustment, and a rear view camera. The electronic rider aids, which work with a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit, include lean-sensitive traction control, three engine modes (Wet, Road, and Sport), ABS, and keyless ignition system with electronic steering lock.
Norton V4SV Hardware
The suspension setup on the superbike includes Ohlins-sourced NIX30 front forks and TTXGP Norton bespoke rear mono-shock – both fully adjustable. An Ohlins damper is also part of the package. The braking tasks are handled by Brembo-sourced twin 330mm rotors at the front and a single 245mm disc at the back along with Brembo callipers on both ends.
