- Design patent leaked
- Gets slightly different bodywork than the Roadster
- Could feature full LED illumination, a TFT, ride modes, and more
It is no secret that Ola Electric is developing a lineup of electric motorcycles. The prototypes for these bikes were showcased last year and now the brand has also registered the design patent for one of them. While the design here appears similar to the Roadster concept, a few elements suggest it could be a sportsbike.
Firstly, the design patent here shows a set of clip-on handles instead of a tubular unit. Then, this bike also seems to ride on telescopic front forks instead of USD ones. Then, the front brake disc is located on the left side instead of the right. Moreover, there seems to be an additional belly piece which isn’t present on the current Ola Roadster model listed online.
The design also has a conventional tail rather than a single-sided tyre-hugger. The rider footpegs appear rear set and the clip-on handles seem forward set which means the overall stance could be slightly on the sportier side.
The battery and motor specifications are yet to be known. You can expect a lot of features including TFT, LED illumination, ride modes, and more on the upcoming Ola bikes. That said, the brand has already commenced pre-bookings of its upcoming electric motorcycles.
