- Suzuki’s upcoming 125cc scooter leaked
- To be called the Avenis-
- Official launch is to take place today at 3 pm
Suzuki is all set to launch a new 125cc sporty scooter in the Indian market today. Surprisingly, even before the official launch took place, the pictures and some details of the scooter have leaked online.
The leaked images reveal the design and name of the scooter. Suzuki has christened this new product the Avenis. And as we could make out from the teaser video, it does look somewhat like the TVS Ntorq 125. The dual tone front apron boasts muscular panels with a trapezoidal headlamp which is flanked by air intakes. The handlebar cowl accommodates turn indicators with a tiny fly screen. Moreover, it seems to be equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a disc brake at the front. The four colour options visible in the picture include yellow, orange, grey and white.
There aren’t any other details available about the scooter yet and we will have to wait for its official launch scheduled to take place at 3pm today. It will mostly be powered by the same 125cc engine as its existing siblings, the Suzuki Access 125 and the Burgman Street 125. However, considering its sporty persona, it’s likely to be slightly more powerful. We also expect it to be a sharp handling machine. Once launched, the Suzuki Avenis will compete against the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and the Yamaha Ray ZR 125.
