- It based on the Joyride 300 maxi-scooter
- Gets large 15-14-inch alloy wheels
- Fuel tank capacity stands at 16 litres
Taiwan-based two-wheeler brand SYM is globally known for its distinctive line-up of scooters. Interestingly, the company further spiced up its portfolio recently by introducing a new adventure-style maxi-scooter christened the ADX 300.
The styling of the ADX 300 is the most standout aspect of it. The muscular bodywork is dominated by sharp cuts and contours and the overall stance looks butch and rugged. Adding to its imposing aesthetics is the robotic headlamp that is crowned by a tall windscreen. Moreover, the presence of knuckle guards, large alloy wheels, a centre spine, and a stepped seat further enhance the visual mass of the scooter.
The ADX isn’t adventure-ready just in terms of visuals but also on the component front. It rides on a large 15-14-inch alloy wheel combination with telescopic forks and dual springs. The frame has been borrowed from its more traditional maxi-scooter sibling, the Joyride 300 but the rigidity has been improved for the ADX. Adding to its adventure prowess is an adjustable windscreen, a sizeable 16-litre fuel tank, and a large under seat storage provision. As for the engine, powering the scooter is a 278cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces close to 25bhp and 26Nm of peak torque.
SYM is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the ADX 300 for the international markets. It is likely to hit the dealerships in the first half of 2024. And in case you’re wondering, the chances of SYM brand and the ADX 300 coming to India are quite slim, at least in the near future.
