Tork Motors has announced the launch of the new Kratos electric motorcycle in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available in two variants – Standard and R. The base model is available in white paint option only. The premium R version, on the other hand, can be selected from four colour choices – white, blue, red, and black. Both variants feature a single-tone finish. The Kratos R boasts an ‘R’ badge that further distinguishes it visually from the standard version.
Apart from more colour choices, the R variant also benefits from additional features and better performance. The electric motor on the standard Tork Kratos makes 7.5kW or 10.05bhp of peak power output and 28Nm of torque. In comparison, the R variant makes 9kW or 12.06bhp of peak power and 38Nm of torque.
The additional power and torque output help the R variant deliver better 0-40kmph acceleration and a higher top speed. The base model can accelerate from 0-40kmph in four seconds while its maximum speed is rated at 100kmph. The R variant boasts a top speed of 105kmph and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds.
In terms of pricing, the Kratos is available at Rs 1,92,499 while the Kratos R has been priced at Rs 2,07,499 (ex-showroom, Pune before subsidies). Post subsidy, the ex-showroom (Pune) prices for the Kratos and the Kratos R come down to Rs 1,07,999 and Rs 1,22,999, respectively.
