- Speed Triple 1200 RR, RS recalled
- Issues with rear disc brake bolts
- SVC will fix it for free
Triumph Motorcycles had to recall its new Speed Triple 1200 RS and the Speed Triple 1200 RR motorcycles in the US. These bikes could have a rear disc brake failure.
According to the company, a total of 910 motorcycles are affected by this recall. The British brand said that there's a risk of a rear brake disc bolt unexpectedly loosening. And if this happened, it could interfere with other components in the vicinity, and prevent the wheel from rotating freely as it should. The company said that the owners would hear a strange noise from the rear of the motorcycle as a warning that a problem exists.
Triumph will start contacting the affected owners and will ask them to bring their bikes to the nearest service station. The technicians there would fix this issue by replacing the rear brake disc bolts free of cost.
