- Gets Fascino-like retro styling
- Is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine
- Gets Bluetooth connectivity and keyless operation
Yamaha has launched its latest 125cc retro-scooter offering in Thailand. It’s called the Fazzio and packs quite a few features like the India-spec Fascino 125.
Styling-wise, the Fazzio looks quite appealing. It gets an old-school design with compact proportions. The round LED headlight makes for a good modern touch to the overall retro approach.
Powering the Fazzio is a 125cc single-cylinder motor that dishes out 8.4bhp and 10.6Nm. For reference, the Yamaha Fascino 125’s motor makes 8.04bhp and 10.3Nm. So, the Fazzio has an upper hand in terms of output. On the feature front, the Fazzio is equipped with an LED headlight, a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB slot and gets keyless operation too.
It rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock at the rear while the braking hardware comprises a front disc and rear drum brake. Its fuel tank capacity is limited to 5.1-litre.
In Thailand, the base model Yamaha Fazzio is priced at TBH 54,900 (approximately Rs 1.2 lakh) while the smart key trim retails at TBH 56,600 (approximately Rs 1.23 lakh). The chances of Yamaha bringing it to India are very bleak.
