- Yamaha India has teased a new virtual launch for 9 January
- Could bring in new colour updates for its existing models
- Slated for 2.30pm on YouTube
Yamaha India has teased a new launch event for tomorrow, 9 January. The virtual launch has been scheduled from 2.30pm onwards and will be streamed online. While the Japanese bikemaker recently launched its 300cc offerings, what else is it planning to bring now?
We think Yamaha could update its existing scooter and motorcycle offerings with new paint schemes and probably other minor updates. The last time we saw Yamaha update its product portfolio was in October when the brand launched the MotoGP Edition models for the Aerox 155, MT-15, and the YZF R15.
Perhaps, the FZ and the FZ-X range could receive cosmetic tweaks in the form of new colour schemes. Apart from that, Yamaha India may also be gearing up for the launch of the YZF R7 and the MT-07, but that could be a few months away. So, if you are currently looking for a twin-cylinder Yamaha bike, then the MT-03 and the YZF R3 are your options. Both bikes use a 312cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine, which makes 41.4bhp at 10,750rpm and 29.5Nm at 9,000rpm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The asking price for the Yamaha R3 is set at Rs. 4.64 lakh, while the MT-03 costs Rs. 4.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
