With the production-ready model already spotted and the company aggressively promoting the product through social media channels, we expect the new Yezdi adventure tourer to arrive very soon. While we await a launch announcement, here we tell you what we know about this new Yezdi adventure tourer so far.
Design
In terms of styling, this new adventure tourer will pack a rugged design. The motorcycle features a tall-set front fender, a high windscreen, a round headlight, split-style seats and a side-slung exhaust. The spy images revealed a saddle-stay setup however we aren’t sure if they will come as standard fitment or as optional accessories. The off-road biased motorcycle will ride on wire-spoke wheels that would be wrapped in tube-type tyres. The spy images of the production-spec model revealed the paint scheme and graphics on the fuel tank, a chrome fuel filler cap, and the Yezdi branding.
Features
The feature list, as revealed through spy images, will include full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster. The Royal Enfield Himalayan already benefits from a Bluetooth-enabled console. Thus, we may see a similar setup on this upcoming Yezdi adventure tourer. The safety net on the motorcycle should include a switchable dual-channel ABS setup.
Engine
The details about the mechanical specifications aren’t available yet. However, spy images and videos have already revealed a liquid-cooled setup. While the details are scarce, we expect to see a Jawa Perak-sourced 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor on this upcoming Yezdi adventure tourer. The engine is tuned to deliver 30bhp of maximum power and 32.74Nm of peak torque on the Jawa Perak bobber.
Hardware
The suspension setup on this Yezdi adventure tourer comprises telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking tasks would be performed by disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net, as mentioned earlier, will most likely comprise a switchable ABS.
Expected Price and Rivals
This new adventure tourer will directly rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan while facing some competition from the likes of Hero XPulse 200 4V and the KTM 250 Adventure. We expect this motorcycle to arrive in the Rs 2.0-2.2 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
