Norton Motorcycles inaugurates its new global headquarters

- New facility opened in Solihull, West Midlands

- It is home to design, engineering, sales, and marketing

- Has a production capacity of 8,000 motorcycles a year

Norton Motorcycles has inaugurated its new global headquarters. This new headquarter will be manufacturing facility and the global design and R&D hub. TVS Motor Company has overseen the creation of the new Norton Motorcycles’ facility in Solihull, West Midlands. The company said in its press announcement that the new manufacturing line will be capable of producing around 8,000 motorcycles a year.

This new facility is supported by the West Midlands Growth partnership, the UK Government. The British marque is focusing on bringing the brand back to the levels of global business performance. To achieve this goal, Norton Motorcycles has defined its new brand approach.

Speaking about the new facility, Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director, TVS Motor Company, said that the opening of the new headquarters represents a significant step forward for Norton Motorcycles. Robert Hentschel, CEO, Norton Motorcycles, further added that the new facility is home to design, engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing, and support departments.

Regular readers would know that TVS Motors had acquired Norton Motorcycles in August 2020 for 16 million British pounds (approximately Rs 153 crore). The Hosur-based two-wheeler maker is also reportedly planning to re-launch Norton Motorcycles in India. The details about the India-bound Norton products, however, is unavailable yet.
