Norton has released a new set of teaser pictures. These pictures are of the updated Commando 961 – a motorcycle that is known for its rich history.
The teaser pictures show the motorcycle from the top frame and also from the backside. There’s a high chance of the Commando 961 receiving a lot of aesthetic upgrades and some minute performance changes.
This motorcycle used to be powered by a 961cc parallel-twin 80bhp motor engine. This engine churned out 88Nm of peak torque and was mated to a five-speed gearbox. So it is quite clear from these numbers that the 961 didn’t really belong to a race track or at a place where it is all about performance. In fact, we can expect the British brand to use the same engine on the upcoming model.
The brand has started taking pre-bookings for the motorcycle, but that’s for the European market. Norton is unlikely to come to India anytime soon even though it is owned by an Indian motorcycle brand.
