Bengaluru-based Oben Electric has commenced the deliveries of its first electric product, the Rorr electric motorcycle in India. The company has announced that it delivered the first 25 units of the Oben Rorr in Bengaluru. These electric motorcycles were delivered at an event that was held at their manufacturing facility located in Jigani, Bengaluru on Sunday, 9 July, 2023. Oben Electric also offered the first 25 owners exclusive Oben Electric merchandise.
The new Oben Rorr boasts a 0-40kmph acceleration time of three seconds, a top speed of 100kmph, and an IDC range of 187km on a full charge. Further, this product is backed by three free services in the first year and a 50,000km/three-year warranty. Notably, the warranty can be extended to five years or 75,000km, whichever is earlier. The company is also offering access to free roadside assistance and over 12,000 charging stations.
This electric motorcycle has been priced at Rs. 1,49,999, and it aims to rival 150cc ICE-powered motorcycles in India. The company added in its press statement that it has 21,000 pre-orders for this electric motorcycle, and the brand is actively expanding its manufacturing capacity, along with plans to open showrooms and service centres across India.
