Moto Morini has announced its range of products to be launched in the Indian market. The Italian two-wheeler maker will soon introduce its range of 650cc motorcycles in the Indian market. The company has confirmed the X-Cape 650, X-Cape 650X, and SEIEMMEZZO 6 ½ Retro Street, and SEIEMMEZZO 6 ½ Scrambler for India.
Speaking about the association with the Italian brand, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director, Adishwar Auto Ride India, said that the brand has received a good response in the European market and the company aims to strengthen the brand in India with a similar approach. Jhabakh further added that the company has seen a shift in the Indian superbike market in the last few years, and it is encouraging to see how the segment has matured.
The X-Cape duo will compete in the middleweight adventure tourer segment and rival the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT in the Indian market. It will be powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that makes 60bhp at 8,250rpm and 54Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The SEIEMMEZZO 6 ½ Retro Street and the SEIEMMEZZO 6 ½ Scrambler, on the other hand, use a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that makes 55bhp at 8,250rpm and 54Nm at 7,000rpm.
The launch timeline is not available yet but we expect to hear an announcement in the coming weeks.
