- Suzuki will leave MotoGP
- 2022 will be the last season
- Exiting due to bad economical situation
After weeks of rumours, Suzuki has finally confirmed its MotoGP intentions. It wants to leave at the end of the season and is in talks with Dorna Sports.
The Japanese brand said that the current economical situation and the need to concentrate its effort on the big changes that the automotive world is facing in these years is forcing them to shift costs and human resources to develop new technologies.
Suzuki wants to keep costs in check and doesn’t want to spend millions of dollars on this sport. It would rather use this money to develop two-wheelers that will help them sell more around the world. This new obviously, hasn’t gone too well with the MotoGP team. But sadly, there’s no other option but to accept this decision and move on.
