Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Okinawa has expanded its India portfolio with the launch of the R30 e-scooter. The new addition to the company’s line-up is priced at 58,992 (ex-showroom). The pre-bookings for the vehicle are currently open for Rs 2,000.
The new R30 has been introduced in the low-speed category. Thus, it boasts of a top speed of 25kmph. The 1.25kWh Lithium-ion battery, which is detachable, is claimed to deliver a range of 60km per charge while the charging time is rated at four to five hours. The Micro-Charger on the e-scooter comes with Auto Cut Function.
In terms of design, the R30 comes with an apron-mounted headlight, dual-tone finish to the front and alloy wheels. The e-scooter is available in five colour options – Glossy Red, Metallic Orange, Pearl White, Sea Green, Sunrise Yellow.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of telescopic forks at the front and twin rear shock absorbers at the back to perform the suspension tasks. Anchoring power comes from drum brakes on both wheels while the safety net includes E-ABS (Electronic- Assisted Braking System) with regenerative energy.
The battery is backed by a three-year warranty. The 250-Watt, BLDC motor, too, gets a three-year/30,000km warranty.
