- New Ola electric motorcycle teased
- Seen with all LED lights
- Launch on 15 August
Ola Electric has released a teaser video of its first electric motorcycle. This new e-bike will make its debut in India on 15 August.
From the teaser video, it is unclear what kind of motorcycle Ola is planning to launch. However, the front profile of the teased bike doesn’t resemble any of the four electric concept motorcycles the company unveiled last year.
The teased bike is seen with two LED lights and a horizontally placed LED strip above these lights. A large headlamp cowl is also visible, however, it could also be a windscreen. The teaser video also showed the motorcycle with angular tank shrouds, which makes us believe that it is a street bike. The handlebar looks like a single piece and is placed quite upright.
As of now, there are barely any details on this motorcycle, but we are expecting it to be a premium bike. The company is likely to launch a fully loaded model first, and then eventually bring out lower-priced products. Through this route, the company will be able to establish a new e-bike brand, and as and when it brings the price down, by reducing the features and battery capacity, more Indian consumers will be able to buy it.
