Ola Electric has announced its plans to enter international markets in the near future. In line with this, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer will enter the Nepalese market in the next quarter (October-December).
The company said in a press statement that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CG Motors in Nepal, partnering with them as local distributors for its S1 electric scooters. Ola Electric will offer both, the S1 and S1 Pro in the Nepalese market starting next quarter. After Nepal, it also plans to enter LATAM, ASEAN, and EU in the next phase. The timeline regarding these markets, however, is not available yet.
Speaking about the company’s expansion plans, Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola, said that the company is committed to creating the electric vehicle paradigm for the rest of the world by building half of the vehicles that the world needs here in India.
In more updates, Ola Electric has commenced offline operations in the Indian market via its ‘Experience Centres’ across the country. Elaborating on the company’s plans, Aggarwal added that the brand will open 200 Experience Centres in India by March 2023. He also confirmed that 20 Experience Centres are already operating in the country.
