- Concept bikes showcased in Café-racer and Roadster form
- Could be manufactured by Mahindra Two-wheelers in India
The Peugeot P2X concept motorcycles, which were revealed in October 2018, are expected to enter production soon. The concepts included a café-racer and a roadster, and we could see both versions in the production form. The update was confirmed by the Mario Minella, president of the distributor of Peugeot in Italy.
Minella confirmed in an interview that the 300cc engine platform can be used for 150cc and 500cc products. He added that despite the pandemic, the product plans are on track.
The P2X Roadster and the P2X Café-Racer are built on a new platform. The roadster gets a modern-retro design, while the café-racer features a sharper styling. Both the bikes were showcased with a 300cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. The power and torque outputs were not revealed during the unveiling. The motor will most likely be based on the engine from the Mahindra Mojo 300.
The timeline for the launch or the unveiling of the production motorcycle is yet to be announced. The products could be manufactured by Mahindra Two-wheelers in India.
