French automobile manufacturer, Peugeot is looking to make its debut in the Indian two-wheeler market with the Django 125 available internationally. The brand has been spotted testing the scooter in our country once again, and this time it comes with a few changes.
The most significant change from the previous spy shots is the inclusion of the small flyscreen. The Peugeot Django 125 scooter spied this time also comes with a bigger grabrail and a slightly different exhaust shield. Other than these changes, the spy images do not reveal much. However, since the scooter is sold internationally, we know that it comes with a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor that produces 10.46bhp and 9.3Nm. Suspension duties are taken up by conventional telescopic forks and a single rear shock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware consists of a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc fitted onto 12-inch alloys at both ends.
And apart from the LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp, the Peugeot Django 125 is also expected to come with a TFT screen. Whether or not it comes with Bluetooth connectivity is yet to be seen. Now, the brand, which is owned by Mahindra, is expected to make its debut sometime this year or early 2024 and the Django 125 will surely be one of the offerings on sale.
That said, the scooter will take on competition from the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125 and Honda Activa 125 in India. But a competitive pricing of under Rs 1 lakh is the only way the Django 125 would manage to drive in sales for the company.
