Piaggio may launch the Vespa Typhoon in India

Piaggio is planning to launch its Typhoon scooter in India. This new product from the Italian premium scooter maker will feature a 150cc engine which produces 11.6bhp and 11Nm of torque. Piaggio had launched their first scooter in India, called Vespa scooter LX 125 few months ago and it became a popular scooter among youngsters, thanks to its retro looks and new features.

The Typhoon will be the second offering from the company and is a completely different looking machine from the Vespa. Despite have tough looking exterior, the scooter has been touted as easy to use and will also be the most powerful scooter in India once it’s launched. It is expected to have a top speed of 98 kmph but will also be very fuel efficient. 

We can expect a price of Rs 85,000 for the Typhoon once it is launched, making it the most expensive scooter in the country, a position currently held by the Vespa’s very own LX 125.
