Piaggio Group opened its second Motoplex, a concept two-wheeler retail store, in India in the city of Hyderabad. The Motoplex stores sell Vespa, Aprilia and MotoGuzzi motorcycles and scooters in India.
The first Motoplex store was opened in Pune, in November, last year; this new facility is the second and is set up at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. It was inaugurated by Tollywood actor, Naga Chaitanya, in the presence of Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO - Piaggio India.
"It is a proud moment for Piaggio Group to bring our flagship store to Hyderabad, our second in India and first in the south of the country. Motoplex as a concept introduces the passion of Italian biking all under one roof by offering an exciting overview of the two-wheeler world, reflecting the innovative vision of the Piaggio Group. The store not only showcases the long standing history of our brands - Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi but also highlights their fascinating journey that proudly stands for 'Made in Italy'," said Stefano Pelle.
He added, "With the display of various brands from the Piaggio Group stable, the Motoplex store aims to achieve the same success it has had internationally. Hyderabad as a two-wheeler market has always been of strategic importance to us and it was a logical move to bring this concept store first to the city of Nizams before venturing into other cities where similar launches are being planned."
Sushil Duggar, CEO, Hyderabad Motoplex said, "Today, is a moment of fulfilment as we become a part of Piaggio's new retail experience, the Motoplex - the first in the south of India. It is indeed our pleasure to be representing Piaggio's most premium brands in Hyderabad."
Piaggio is expected to open more multi-brand showrooms within the year. The new Moto Guzzi Bobber and Roamers are also expected to be sold exclusively through these showrooms.
