Piaggio is known for its three-wheeled scooters and also for the Vespa 946 - a scooter that costs a fortune. This time the Italian manufacturer has taken their innovation to a new level with the Gita.
The Gita is Piaggio's new two-wheeled autonomous vehicle that can change the way we perceive vehicles. No, it doesn't get APRC or cornering ABS, it rather gets a motor that can make Gita travel upto a maximum speed of 35kmph. This self-balancing cyclindrical vehicle doesn't have the capability of transporting people as of now but it can cart their things around. It has a small storage box that can hold things weighing up to 25kg.
The Gita has the ability to recognise its user and follow him or her, thanks to its sensors and complex softwares. Interestingly, the Gita can travel from point A to point B by itself. The Gita can also become a pizza delivery vehicle in future. We’ve got a few doubts about this, though – just like the pickup truck’s load bay, there doesn’t seem to be anything stopping someone from taking what they want from the Gita.
