Piaggio’s three-wheeled scooter gets a new colour

-         Piaggio gets new black colour

-         Makes the product look exciting

-         India launch unlikely

Piaggio’s famous three-wheeled scooter – the MP3, has received a new colour. This new colour made this vehicle look far more aspirational.

The Italian brand has introduced a new Deep Black colour on the MP3, which makes it look like a stealth scooter. The MP3 is known for its three-wheel nature – something Europe has accepted exceptionally well. In fact, this vehicle can also be ridden by people with a car driving licence.

The MP3 is one of those urban scooters loaded with performance, features, comfort and great styling. It also can carry many after-market accessories, which could be primarily used to make urban and touring experiences far more accessible and more comfortable. However, these accessories are priced on the expensive side, making them less tempting to buy.

Piaggio has been doing business in India for many years and has also successfully created new segments with the Vespas and the Aprilia. With the MP3, it can repeat the same, but the pricing will make it an extremely exclusive product. Luckily, there’s a market for such exclusive products in the country, which is why BMW has been able to sell the C400 GT quite well.
