Piaggio has decided to recall all units of the 2020 and 2021 MP3 500 HPEs in the US. The recall is related to the braking performance of this three-wheeled scooter.
According to the company, there is some issue with the braking system of the scooter. This issue could result in excessive play in the brake levers and less efficient braking after the bike sits for long periods. Brakes that don’t work as efficiently as expected could cause a safety issue for riders.
A total of 27 scooters are a part of this recall. The brand plans to get in touch with the affected owners and ask them to bring the vehicle to the nearest SVC. The technicians will completely flush the braking system and also apply dehydrogenation treatment.
