Motorcycle tyre makers Pirelli and Ceat have announced a partnership wherein the latter will distribute high-end or big bike motorcycle tyres from Pirelli through its dealerships in India. It isn’t clear however whether there would be an exclusive display area for Pirelli tyres at Ceat outlets and whether specialised staff would be handling sales of the premium Italian tyres.
Logic dictates that since high-end bike buyers can be very choosy about the exact specification and type of tyre they want, specialised staff with a better understanding of big bike usage patterns would be of great help in making the buying and owning experience hassle free.
Ceat will distribute the complete range of Pirelli tyres through its outlets. These include tyres for sportsbikes, street motorcycles and even ADVs. So, now buying Diablo Rossos or Super Corsas or even Sport Demons should be freely and timely available.
According to Ceat, the addition of the Pirelli range to its stores only confirms the fact that the Indian tyre maker has been selling world class products all along; even though it is hard to see the connection. As for Pirelli, Ceat’s vast experience in the Indian motorcycle market and its vast network make Ceat the perfect partner to distribute and activate Pirelli products in India. Pirelli adds that India has huge potential in the premium and supersport motorcycle segment and now it can grow at a faster rate with Pirelli’s premium products being more easily available.
