Polaris has recently filed a patent for the name “Victory Charger” with the US Patent and Trademark Office. This makes us believe that the American manufacturer is developing an electric Victory cruiser.
We are not quite surprised by this new development because little over a month ago the company acquired the electric business unit of Brammo. During the acquisition, Polaris said that it will let Brammo to focus exclusively on the design, development and integration of electric vehicle powertrain, whereas the parent company will manufacturer its products at its Iowa facility. The company has been tight-lipped about this motorcycle, but as per some reports, this new electric Victory cruiser is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
The upcoming Victory electric cruiser will compete with the Harley-Davidson Livewire, which created a lot of hype across the world with its electric model. The design approach of both the companies, Victory and Brammo is very different. It will be very interesting to see which design approach the American giant will use, the Brammo or the Victory one?
