- Gets a Ducati Panigale-like fascia
- Powered by a 550cc twin-cylinder engine
- Available only in China as of now
Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, QJ Motor, has unveiled its latest middleweight motorcycle, the GS550. The bike is currently available in its home country only. Let’s see what it offers.
On the design front, the QJ GS550 looks quite polarizing. Its fascia resembles Ducati Panigale’s design while the remaining bodywork appears a mix of multiple models. Not to mention, the single-sided swingarm exposing the rear alloy wheel looks quite good.
Powering the QJ GS550 is a 550cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It develops 57.2bhp and 54Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. QJ has equipped the bike with an LED illumination, TFT instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, and a USB charging port.
The GS550 rides on KYB USD front forks and a rear monoshock setup. Its braking hardware comprises dual front discs and a single rear disc from Brembo with dual-channel ABS. The setup is mounted on a 17-inch front and rear wheel setup. QJ Motor claims that the top speed is limited to 180kmph.
While the new QJ offering is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, it’ll reach the European shores in 2023. That said its chances of entering the Indian market are bleak. But if you want a middleweight supersports here, check out the Honda CBR650R.
