- Gets proper maxi-scooter styling
- Powered by a 10kW (peak power) motor
- Gets a 130kmph top speed
QJ Motor has unveiled its latest electric two-wheeler offering, the PV maxi-scooter. It was unveiled at EICMA 2022 and here’s what the QJ Motor e-scooter packs.
The QJ Motor PV features proper maxi-scooter attire. It has a central spine, a wide single-piece seat, a wide handlebar, and a tall transparent visor at the front. The PV gets a split and quite an aggressive LED headlight with cornering lights integrated into the side panels at the front.
Powering the PV electric scooter is a 10kW (peak power) motor mated to a lithium-ion battery. The battery capacity is yet to be revealed, but QJ claims that the PV can clock 150km on a single charge and gets a top speed of 130kmph. And the charging time is five and a half hours for an 80 per cent charge. It sports LED illumination, a fully digital instrument console, ABS and an adjustable visor on the feature front.
The PV e-scooter rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking hardware comprises dual front and a single rear disc with ABS. The setup is mated to alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Angel tyres.
While QJ Motor has confirmed its entry in India, the chances of PV electric scooter launching here anytime soon are bleak. But if you are out for an EV, there are options like the Ola S1 range, Ather 450, Bajaj Chetak, and more. Meanwhile, the maxi-scooters on sale in India are all petrol models – Yamaha Aerox 155 and Keeway Vieste 300.
