- QJ RX Electric bike makes debut at EICMA
- Offers 120km range and 100kmph top-speed
- Global launch next year
QJ Motor has unveiled a new electric motorcycle at the 2022 EICMA called the RX. The motorcycle is their entry-level model and could be a foray into more powerful versions too.
Now the RX is powered by a central-mounted electric motor that offers 5kW and can propel the motorcycle to a top speed of a decent 100kmph. On the other hand, the battery which is a 72V, 60Ah lithium-ion unit is said to offer 120km of range on a single charge which takes around four and a half hours. These specs would put it in contention with conventional 125cc motorcycles sold across the globe.
But with that said, the QJ RX is styled like a much more powerful and bigger motorcycle. Drawing inspiration from the sharp and edgy bodywork of modern sportbikes, the RX is angular too. Apart from the numerous cuts and creases that make it look fast while standing still, the RX also gets low clip on bars and rear set footpegs for an aggressive riding stance. As for its features, the electric motorcycle is fitted with full-LED lighting and a full-colour TFT display that is becoming pretty standard in today’s world.
While QJ Motor says that the RX would make its debut in international markets starting from 2023, it has not given any specific timeline. For those not in the know, QJ Motor is the parent company to Benelli and Keeway that retail their products in India. Moreover, QJ Motor itself made its debut in our country last week so there could be the possibility of the RX electric motorcycle coming to India in the future.
