- QJ Motor’s third four-cylinder motorcycle unveiled
- SRK 800 RR makes 101bhp
- Looks similar to Ducati Panigale models
Chinese two-wheeler giant QJ Motor has taken the wraps off its new sportbike, the SRK 800 RR, in Europe. This inline-four, fully-faired offering sits above the SRK 600RR in QJ’s sportbike portfolio.
QJ Motor entered the motorcycle market in 2005 after buying the Italian brand Benelli. In fact, QJ used the Benelli TNT 600’s platform to make its own sportbike, the SRK 600RR which debuted in 2020. However, that’s not the case with the SRK 800 RR. Its 778cc, inline four-cylinder motor has been developed especially for the SRK 800 and it produces 101bhp.
The hardware package of the QJ SRK 800 RR is quite upmarket. It is underpinned by a steel trellis frame which rides on 17-inch wheels with Marzocchi USD forks and a monoshock, both being adjustable. It also gets an aluminium swingarm along with a Brembo braking system comprising four-piston radial calipers. The design, meanwhile, is reminiscent of Ducati’s Panigale series with its large and angular dual-pod headlamp setup. It also gets huge winglets attached to its fairing while the tail is an upswept, stubby unit.
In India, QJ Motor’s portfolio has four motorcycles including SRK 400, SRC 250, SRV 300, and SRC 500. We don’t expect this line-up to be expanded anytime soon.
