- Powered by MV Agusta’s 1,078cc four-cylinder engine
- Produces close 146bhp and 112Nm
- Production model might be shown next year
Chinese two-wheeler maker, QJ Motor took the wraps off the new SRK1000 RC concept at the recently concluded EICMA show in Milan. It features an engine derived from one of the MV Agusta motorcycles, ultra-premium components, and a flamboyant design created by QJ’s Italian team.
The QJ SRK 1000 RC concept looks stunning, to say the least. The long yet narrow twin-pod headlamp sits in a sharp, angular, and layered fairing which blends beautifully with a brawny fuel tank and a chiselled upswept tail section. Certain elements like the single-sided swingarm, twin stubby exhausts tucked under the tail, and diamond-cut alloy wheels further accentuate the visual appeal of the motorcycle.
Powering the concept is a 1,078cc, inline four-cylinder engine that produces close to 146bhp and peak torque output of 112Nm. This is essentially a reworked version of the MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR’s motor. Notably, the performance numbers are much lower than other modern-day litre-class sportbikes like the Ducati Panigale V4 and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R which make in excess of 200bhp. Having said that, the cycle parts are as upmarket as they come with Ohlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brake callipers, and Pirelli Rosso Corsa tyres.
The production version of the QJ SRK 1000 RC might be unveiled sometime next year. And the chances of it ever coming to India are close to none.
