- Yamaha Vinoora 125 launched in Vietnam
- Features a distinctive Minion-like fascia
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has recently launched its 125cc scooter, the Vinoora 125, in Vietnam. It is already available in select Asian markets and its main highlight is its extremely quirky styling.
When looked at from the front, the Vinoora’s fascia resembles one of the animated characters from the movie Minions. With the dual circular headlamps sporting metal grille, exposed handlebar, a single-pod console, and a curvy apron, the Vinoora is truly distinctive aesthetically. It’s also decently equipped with modern features like a fully-digital instrument cluster, a USB charging port, and Yamaha’s Smart Start System.
The Vinoora is powered by a 125cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine. Although Yamaha hasn’t revealed its performance figures, they should be similar to the Fascino 125’s 8.04bhp of power and 9.7Nm of torque output. Its claimed fuel efficiency is quite impressive at 57.7kmpl while the kerb weight is 94kg which makes it lighter than the Fascino 125.
Yamaha is unlikely to launch the Vinoora 125 in India anytime soon. However, the Japanese brand has recently unveiled the updated models of the Fascino 125 and the Ray ZR 125 in India.
