Indian riders CS Santosh and Aravind KP who are riding at the Rally OiLibya of Morocco 2016 are slowly but steadily heading up the leaderboard. The first two stages of the rally have already commenced. Being held from October 1 to 7, there are three more stages remaining in the rally.
Santosh and Aravind are competing in the bikes/quad segment and will cover a total rally distance of 1,885km in Morocco, out of which 1,317km would be special stages.
After Stage 1, Hero MotoSports Team Rally’s Santosh climbed three places to be classified 26th while Aravind, riding for Sherco TVS Factory Team, climbed five places to 27th position in the provisional ranking after the 291km special stage.
At the end of Stage 2 of the rally, Aravind KP moved up the rankings and is now placed at 24th in the 450cc class. His overall rankings have also improved to 28th, Aravind’s FIM rank including quad bike is at 25th. Aravind KP is looking improve his performance in Stage 3 and is expected to climb up a few places. There are three more stages remaining in the rally.
Aravind’s team mates, Juan Pedrero currently stands at 11th in the 450cc class and Adrien Metge at 17th in the same class.
