- Packs a retro design
- Priced at GBP 6,500 (Rs 6.15 lakh) in the UK
- India launch details unavailable
The upcoming BSA Gold Star, which will rival the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Kawasaki Z650 RS in the Indian market, was recently spotted in the near-production ready form on our shores. Similar to its rivals, the BSA Gold Star will pack a retro design that will comprise a round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank with off-set filler cap, single-piece seat, peashooter exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels.
The motorcycle is already available in select international markets where it uses a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 45bhp and 55Nm of peak torque. The India-spec model should pack similar numbers.
Other hardware on the motorcycle comprises 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, 41mm telescopic front forks, five-step preload-adjustable twin springs at the rear, and disc brakes on both ends.
The BSA Gold Star is currently available in the United Kingdom with prices starting from GBP 6,500 (Rs 6.15 lakh, without taxes). Do note that the paint choices affect the prices. In comparison, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is priced at GBP 6,200 (approximately Rs 5.87 lakh) in the United Kingdom.
