The Suzuki SV650X embodies the 90s style of bodywork with a 645cc, parallel-twin engine.
- Suzuki launched the updated SV650X in France
- Gets a new paint scheme
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Suzuki has taken the wraps off the SV650X for international markets a couple of months ago and has now launched it in France at an equivalent of Rs 7.37 lakh.
The motorcycle takes on a minimalist approach to its styling and is inspired by motorcycles of the 80s. It comes with a bikini fairing complete with a circular headlamp and low-slung handlebars. The rear end is sleek, consisting of a single-piece seat with the entire bodywork sitting on a trellis frame. Suzuki has kept the engine and most of its components blacked out. That said, the motorcycle comes with a new colour scheme for 2023. It sports a grey paint job with bronze wheels as standard.
What hasn't changed though is the engine which is a 645cc, twin-cylinder motor that is capable of producing 73bhp and 61Nm. While the Suzuki SV650X was thought to be lost with the introduction of the GSX-8S, it doesn't seem to be the case. However, the motorcycle will not be launched in India anytime soon but we can surely expect Suzuki to bring in the V-Strom 800 DE and the GSX-8S by 2024.
