- Royal Enfield limited edition helmets unveiled
- Commemorate the brands 120th anniversary
- 12 different helmet designs will be launched over 12 weeks
Royal Enfield has completed 120 years of its existence this year. To commemorate the occasion, the Chennai-based bike maker has unveiled a series of limited-edition helmets.
The company plans to launch 12 different designs of these hand-made, hand-crafted helmets in total; one dedicated to each decade of its operations. To make it even more interesting, Royal Enfield has allotted different launch dates for each helmet design in the next 12 weeks. To maintain exclusivity, each type of helmet will be limited to just 120 units.
The first two helmet designs which are being launched include ‘The Original Royal Enfield’ and ‘The Racing V Twins’. While the former went live on 18 October, the latter went up on display today with their sales commencing on 23 and 24 October, respectively. The countdown for the beginning of sales for each helmet is already underway on the company’s website.
The Original Royal Enfield helmet is inspired by the first motorcycle unveiled by the company in November 1901 at London’s Stanley Cycle Show. It’s an open face helmet and gets ISI, DOT, and ECE certification. The Racing V Twins helmet celebrates Royal Enfield’s twin-cylinder motorcycles and their achievements in the world of racing in the 1910s. This is a full-face helmet with a D ring fastener and this too gets the same certifications as the open face design.
The Racing V Twin helmets have been priced at Rs 8,450 while the Original Royal Enfield lid costs Rs 6,950. Interested buyers will be able to buy this helmet online on Royal Enfield’s official website.
